AB: Alberta Open for Business: Unleashing Potential, Building Prosperity

The Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) invites its members and the greater Alberta business community to join Alberta Premier, Hon. Danielle Smith, for a corporate lunch event at the Calgary Petroleum Club as she shares her plan to keep Alberta open for Business: Unleashing Potential, Building Prosperity.

The event will begin with an economic and markets update from Martin Pelletier, Senior Portfolio Manger at Wellington-Altus Private Counsel. Martin will be providing a top-down review and outlook of the global market environment and what it means to companies trying to attract capital from a Canadian and Alberta perspective. This will include such things as interest rates, currency, inflation, commodities, affordability and implications to both equity and bonds markets.

Following that, Premier Danielle Smith will hold a keynote address where she will discuss Alberta’s investment policies, incentives, and initiatives to attract top-talent and capital to the province. Danielle will then be joined by Deborah Yedlin, President & CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, for a moderated fire side chat. The event serves as an opportunity for Alberta’s corporate leaders, investment professionals and business partners to hear firsthand the plan of how to align on the shared objectives of attracting capital investment in Alberta.

This event is eligible for 2 CEU credits.
