Mélanie Hennessy, Vice President, Corporate Communications, NOVAGOLD
Mélanie is NOVAGOLD's Vice President, Corporate Communications, responsible for all aspects of the Company's internal and external communications functions and investor relations activities. Mélanie has extensive experience within the precious metals mining industry particularly in investor relations, corporate communications, crisis management as well as mergers and acquisitions. She is a public speaker advocating for stakeholder engagement, the advancement of individuals aspiring to executive-level positions and women in leadership roles.
Prior to joining NOVAGOLD, she served in a variety of executive and senior roles with such precious metals companies as Goldcorp Inc., New Gold Inc., and Hecla Mining Company. Mélanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Ottawa.
Ian McMillan, Director, Investor Relations, TELUS
Ian is a long-tenured investor relations professional, who supports the IR function for TELUS, a leading communications and technology company based in Vancouver with an increasingly global presence. With over 16 years of IR experience at TELUS, Ian has seen his career evolve from multiple roles and responsibilities into a Senior IR leadership position, providing strategic support to the Head of IR. Ian supports a number of critical areas of the business along with traditional IR responsibilities, such as writing key components of TELUS leading quarterly and annual report disclosure documents. Ian lead the IR efforts and provided strategic IR support on a successful public offering of TI in February 2021.
Ian also works closely with the TELUS Treasury team, supporting a number of debt financings, including TELUS’ inaugural sustainability-linked bond (SLB) offering in 2021 and additional SLBs in 2022, as well as equity offerings with the most recent offering in 2021 to accelerate capital investments towards TELUS’ PureFibre and 5G network expansion. Going forward, Ian and the TELUS IR team will be focused on further enhancing their ESG investor program, targeting new capital and investors through an active ESG program, enhancing TELUS’ other high growth areas including TH and TAC and working closely with their respective management teams to continue building their profile amongst the investment community.
Jessica Katrichak, Co-Host BTV, Vice President, Western Sales (Moderator)
Jessica brings over 20 years combined experience in television as a lifestyles program Producer, in the resource sector for a mining publication, and at BTV, where she has worked with pubco’s to hone their capital markets strategies and help investors.
