Speakers

Kelly Downie, Vice President, Canadian Corporate Access, RBC Capital Markets
Kelly Downie has over 10 years of experience in capital markets. In 2011, Kelly joined the Global Equities team based in Toronto. In her current role Kelly provides some of RBC’s largest Institutional client’s access to public & private management teams through 1x1 investor meetings through Non-Deal Marketing, Initial Public Offerings, Conferences, and key strategic marketing events. In addition to corporate marketing initiatives Kelly has collaborated on events to showcase our leading Global Equity Research Team. Throughout her career, Kelly has played an active role in promoting and advancing gender equality through her work with RWomen. Kelly has been a key strategic partner with the Maternity Mentorship Program, a Co-Lead of Internal RWomen Events, and most recently is the Co-Lead of RWomen’s Health & Wellness Committee. Kelly is the recipient of the Women in Capital Markets Emerging Leaders Award – 2021.

Peter Hannon, Associate, Institutional Equities Sales, RBC Capital Markets
Peter is an associate on RBC’s global equity sales team, based in Toronto, having joined the bank in 2017. His institutional client base includes a broad range of asset managers throughout Canada. He provides global sales coverage and is responsible for providing advice and guidance on the full spectrum of RBC’s equity research coverage which includes Canadian, European, US & Australian listed stocks. In addition to RBC’s Canadian institutional equity desk, he works closely with RBC’s New York, London & Sydney offices. He has a degree in applied economics from Queen’s University.

Walter Spracklin, Managing Director, Transportation & Industrial Analyst, RBC Capital Markets
Walter is a Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets and responsible for the firm’s equity coverage of the Transportation and Industrials sectors, including: the North American railroad and waste sectors; as well as the Canadian airline, aerospace, trucking/logistics and plastics/packaging sectors. Walter has over 20 years of experience in equity research and over the course of his career has been consistently cited as his sector’s top-ranked analyst by Brendan Wood, Greenwich and Institutional Investor. Brendan Wood has rated Walter #1 in Transportation for the last twelve years running while Institutional Investor has also ranked Walter #1 in both the Transportation and the Industrials sectors in its “All-Canada Analysts” rankings. Walter has also been recognized for his stock picking, having been ranked by Starmine as a top stock picker on ten occasions over his career. In the early part of his career, Walter was also responsible for RBC’s coverage of the Business Trust sector and was top-ranked in that sector as well. Walter holds an International MBA from the Schulich School of Business (York University) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ottawa. He attained his CFA designation in 2002.

Selina Wang, Director, Electronic Sales & Trading, RBC Capital Markets
Selina Wang is a Director on the Global Agency Electronic Solutions team under Digital Solutions and Client Insights (DSCi3) at RBC Capital Markets. Selina joined RBC in 2012. She oversees the Canadian Electronic Trading business and her team provides real-time trading advice, develops customized algorithmic trading strategies for institutional clients, and leads the sales effort of RBC’s new AI-driven algorithmic trading platform “Aiden” in Canada. Selina is an advocate for diversity and has been actively involved with multiple employee resource groups at RBC. Selina holds a Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence degree from the Smith School of Business from Queen’s University and a B.Com degree from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto. She is also a CFA charterholder.
