Samantha Cheung, Executive Vice President, Investor Relations, Sagicor Financial Company Ltd.
Samantha Cheung is EVP, Investor Relations (IR), at Sagicor Financial Company Ltd. (SFC:TSX). Sagicor Financial is a Caribbean based market leading insurance and financial services provider with over 180 years of history in the Caribbean and a growing provider life insurance products in the US. Sagicor listed on the TSX in December 2019 through a SPAC transaction. Samantha was previously the VP and Head of IR at Intact Financial and Genworth Canada (now Sagen). Samantha has over 20 years of capital markets experience including senior roles in the area of debt origination, derivatives and investment banking at a major Canadian bank. She has been an advisor to companies at various stages of growth and presence in the capital markets.
Samantha holds a B.SC.Eng (Queen’s University), MBA (Rotman School of Management) and ICD.D. (Rotman School of Management. She is currently an elected member of the Queen’s University Council and chairs its Nominating and Governance Committee. She has also been on the boards of Women in Capital Markets and the Canadian Institute of Investor Relations (CIRI).
Rhylin Bailie, Vice President, Investor Relations, Equinox Gold
Rhylin Bailie has been the VP Investor Relations of Equinox Gold since October 2016. From July 2011 to October 2016, Rhylin managed all aspects of investor relations for a number of resource companies including Southern Arc Minerals, Eagle Hill Exploration and Sandspring Resources. Previously Rhylin was Director of Investor Relations for NovaGold Resources from 2006 to 2011, and prior to that held various positions in the Treasury group at Placer Dome from 1995 to 2006. Rhylin is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree. She is a director on the National Board of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
