CIRI Comments on Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada's Consultation Paper

CIRI submitted comments to Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada on their Consultation Paper regarding upcoming changes to the CBCA, specifically on mandatory non-binding say-on-pay votes. CIRI supports the proposal that non-binding say-on-pay votes be: reported at the AGM; posted on the issuers website; and included in the proxy circular the following year. In addition, CIRI recommends that issuers include the non-binding say-on-pay vote results in the news release outlining the results of the election of directors.
