Speakers

Greg Blazina, General Manager - Canada, Business Wire
Greg Blazina is responsible for overall sales and operations for Business Wire in Canada. Greg joined Business Wire as an Account Executive in 2011, became Manager of Eastern Canada in 2013 and promoted to Regional Manager for all of Canada April 2017. Based in Toronto, Greg has worked directly with investor relations officers, ensuring issuers are correctly meeting disclosure requirements, streamlining and enhancing their disclosure processes, advising on the ever-changing vendor landscape, and aiding companies in reaching targeted investors worldwide. Greg is currently General Manager of Canada for Business Wire.

Tanya Finney, Investor Relations Analyst, Stantec
Tanya brings over 20 years of experience in sell side research and investor relations with a unique blend of experience in communications, capital markets, investor relations, as well as mergers and acquisitions.? She has been part of the investor relations community since 2014, representing nano-cap to mid-cap public companies. Tanya has a Bachelor of Applied Communications, a Public Relations diploma and is also a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

Yvette Lokker, President & CEO, CIRI (Moderator)
Yvette Lokker has been the President & CEO of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) since January 2013. She joined CIRI in 2008 as the Director of Communications and Professional Development and was promoted to Vice President in the fall of 2011. Yvette oversees the strategic direction of the organization and executes the business plan. She was responsible for establishing the first investor relations certification program in North America. Prior to joining CIRI, Yvette was the Manager, Investor Relations at MDS Inc. where she assisted in developing and directing the investor relations strategies and activities for seven years. Yvette has a BSc. in Chemistry and a Business Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has completed the Strategic Management of Investor Relations program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, the Canadian Securities Course and the Governance Essentials Program for Directors of Not-For-Profit Organizations at the Rotman School of Management.

Nicholas Van Dyk, Chief Financial Officer, NorthIsle Copper and Gold
Nicholas is a public company executive with over 16 years of experience in corporate development, finance, and investor relations with a focus on the mining industry. He has advised a range of public and private companies on strategic corporate matters, including internal and external growth projects as well as M&A transactions, equity, and debt financings totalling more than $35 billion. Nicholas currently owns a consulting practice, where he advises public and private companies on corporate development and capital markets issues. Previously, he was Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development at Polaris Materials Corporation prior to its acquisition by a major US construction materials company in 2017. As a member of the executive leadership team at Polaris, he led the successful investor relations function and created significant value for shareholders as a key contributor to corporate strategy, business development, finance, community relations and other matters. Nicholas joined Northisle in November 2020.
