Jacqueline Allison, CFA, PhD, PGeo, FCIM, IR & Finance Professional
Jacqueline Allison has more than 20 years of experience working for major financial institutions and mining companies in the fields of financial analysis, investment management and investor relations. Previously, she was VP Investor Relations and Strategic Analysis for the Augusta Group of Companies, with similar senior executive capacities at Dominion Diamond Corp. and Hudbay Minerals Inc.

Jacqueline was Chair of the Management and Economics Society of CIM and member of CIM Council from 2020-2022. She is a director of several private and public companies, a Trustee of the CIM Foundation and a member of the Humber Institute BCom Finance Degree Program Advisory Committee. She holds an MSc (Applied) in mineral exploration and a PhD in mineral economics from McGill University, and is a CFA charterholder and a Professional Geoscientist (Ontario).


Rizwan Awan, President, Equity Trading and Head of TMX Markets, Products & Services, TMX Group 
Rizwan Awan leads the trading businesses of Canada’s premier equity exchanges, Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, and TSX Alpha Exchange. He also oversees Products and Services across TMX Markets, responsible for innovating, designing, and building market solutions across all asset classes and charting the path for Canadian markets.

Rizwan joined TMX in November 2020, following nearly two decades in client facing capital markets roles at leading financial institutions. Prior to TMX, he served as Managing Director of Quantitative Execution Services at BMO Capital Markets, heading up Program and Electronic Trading as well as Index and Market Structure research.

As an active contributor to market structure and policy issues in Canada, Rizwan represents TMX on OSC’s Market Structure Advisory Committee and IIROC’s Market Rules Advisory Committee. He is also the former Chair of the Canadian Securities Traders Association and Board of Governors of the US Securities Traders Association. He holds a BMath degree in Computer Science from University of Waterloo and is a CFA charterholder.


Erica Belling, F.CIRI, Director, Institutional & Financial Communications, CIBC
Erica Belling is head of Investor and Financial Communications at CIBC. She is responsible for managing financial and regulatory communications and reporting, as well as ESG reporting. Prior to this she was Vice President of Investor Relations at CIC Energy Corp., a TSX listed mining company. Prior to her career in the resource sector, she was a Senior Manager, Analysis & Disclosure, External Reporting at RBC Financial Group. Erica has worked in the capital markets on both the buy and sell side. She was a ranked equity research analyst at Newcrest Capital covering the chemicals and fertilizer sectors, as well as a portfolio manager at an institutional money manager. Erica is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). She has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a B.Eng. from McGill University.


Annemarie Brissenden, CPIR, Investor Relations, Lavras Gold Corp.
Annemarie is passionate about helping public companies tell the right stories to the right investors.

Her 25-years of experience in investor relations has been largely gained in the resource sector and extends to corporate transactions, shareholder activism, and initial public offerings. As a consultant, Annemarie has advised c-suites on investor communications, social media messaging, website content, investor presentations, and rebranding. An accomplished writer and editor with a plain language focus, she has produced a variety of corporate disclosure, including news releases, annual and quarterly reports, CSR reports, information circulars, and AIFs. She sits on the issues committee for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and previously served as a judge for the CPA Canada corporate reporting awards program. Annemarie has a BA in English Literature from McGill University.


Marina Davies, Vice President, Investor Relations, Neighbourly Pharmacy
Marina Davies is an accomplished Investor Relations leader with a strong financial foundation and over 20 years experience in retail and financial services. She currently leads Neighbourly Pharmacy’s Investor Relations strategy and oversees the Company's relationships with its stakeholders across the financial community.

Marina has a deep knowledge of Investor Relations and the retail business, having spent the last five years leading the award-winning Investor Relations team at CTC and the prior 15 years in various progressive roles of increased scope and responsibility in Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategy, Corporate Planning and Forecasting and Corporate Finance with Canadian Tire Corporation. During this time, she built strong relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders and has acted as a trusted advisor to the executive team.

Marina holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Rotman’s School of Management at the University of Toronto and a CFA designation.


David Frost, Partner, McCarthy Tetrault LLP
David is a partner in our Vancouver office and Co-Chair of our National Life Sciences Group. He practises in the areas of corporate/commercial law, securities and corporate finance with a focus on financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. David specializes in the Life Sciences, Technology, Fintech, and Consumer Products and Retail industries.

David regularly advises private and public issuers and dealers on cross-border, U.S. and domestic public and private offerings of equity and debt, including initial public offerings, bought deal financings and secondary offerings. He also advises public companies on general securities law matters, including continuous disclosure obligations and other regulatory compliance issues. David regularly acts for Canadian, U.S. and international acquirers and targets on domestic and cross-border merger-and-acquisition transactions and take-over bids. He also advises Canadian and U.S. venture capital investors in connection with the structuring and implementation of domestic and cross-border investments.

David received a BA from the University of British Columbia in 1996 and his LLB, with distinction, from the University of Alberta in 2000. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2001 and is a member of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, Securities Law Section, British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Investor Relations Institute and the Association of Corporate Growth.


Sabahat Khan, Global Research, RBC Capital Markets
Sabahat is responsible for research coverage of the Industrial and consumer sector companies at RBC Capital Markets. He joined RBC Capital Markets in 2012 after spending one year in the equity research department of another bank-owned dealer. Prior to that, he spent three years with a multinational consumer packaged goods company. Sabahat received an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and an iBBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

 


Jill MacRae, Vice President, Investor Relations & ESG, Home Trust Company
Jill MacRae is Vice President of Investor Relations and ESG at Home Capital Group. She is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of the investor relations function. She works with senior management to communicate the company’s strategy and performance to the investment community and delivers feedback from the investment community to management and the board. Jill is also responsible for development and preparation of Home Capital’s ESG reporting initiatives.

Prior to joining Home Capital, Jill worked as an independent advisor on investor relations and strategic communications for a number of public companies. She spent more than 20 years on the buy side including 19 years as a partner and portfolio manager in an independent investment management firm.

Jill is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) She has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.


Yvette Lokker, President & CEO, CIRI
Yvette Lokker is the President & CEO of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI). Yvette joined CIRI in 2008 as the Director of Communications and Professional Development and was promoted to Vice President in the fall of 2011. In addition to her many accomplishments, Yvette was responsible for establishing the first investor relations certification program in North America in partnership with the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Prior to joining CIRI, Yvette was the Manager, Investor Relations at MDS Inc. where she assisted in developing and directing the investor relations strategies and activities for seven years. Yvette has a BSc. in Chemistry and a Business Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has completed the Strategic Management of Investor Relations program at the Richard Ivey School of Business and the Canadian Securities Course.


Daniel Lubienietzky, Manager of Innovation, Life Sciences, and CleanTech, Toronto Stock Exchange
Daniel Lubienietzky is the Manager of Innovation, Life Sciences, and CleanTech at the Toronto Stock Exchange. In his role, he works with private companies, industry stakeholders, and service providers to help facilitate the listing of innovation companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.

 


Scott Parsons, Vice President, Investor Relations, Alamos Gold Inc. 
Scott Parsons joined Alamos Gold in 2013 and was appointed Vice President of Investor Relations in 2015. Mr. Parsons has nearly 20 years of capital markets, finance and investor relations experience in progressive roles, primarily in the mining industry. Prior to joining Alamos Gold, Mr. Parsons was an Equity Research Associate and Analyst in the mining group at TD Securities. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Brock University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Dan Rollins, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Investor Relations, Torex Gold Resources
Dan Rollins has over 15 years of metals and mining industry related experience with more than 10 years of experience as a sell-side equity research analyst. Dan joined the Torex team in 2019 from RBC Capital Markets, where he provided investment research on precious metal companies and the broader precious metal sector to institutional investors. Prior to RBC Capital Markets, he was employed in a similar role by UBS Securities Canada. Dan started his career at Noranda/Falconbridge where he was involved in the sale of refined zinc metal.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) from Queen’s University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. 


Trevor St. Arnault, Executive Vice President, Eastern Sales, BTV-Business Television
Trevor St. Arnault is responsible for Eastern Canada Business Development at BTV – Business Television, a leading TV production and Investor Marketing Agency. Trevor’s career started in the 1990s in Financial Print and Compliance at Bowne (now Donnelly Financial Solutions) and in 2003 joined Canada NewsWire (now Cision) for 15 years, where he led the National IR Business Development and Strategic Partnerships portfolio. Based in Toronto, Trevor works with CEOs, Investor Relations and Marketing, ensuring issuers are effectively increasing their brand and stock presence to retail and institutional investor audiences through video and digital broadcast services.


Jeff Vanderby, Global Director, Product Marketing, Cision
Jeff Vanderby and his team of product marketers define product positioning and messaging for Cision’s suite of PR and IR products. A frequent speaker on all matters of earned media management, from best practices to industry trends, Jeff has been at Cision for over 15 years. While at Cision, Jeff has worked as both a Product Manager and a Product Marketer. His background is as a digital storyteller: prior to joining Cision, he worked as an editor for television and corporate video projects. His last major IRL event was CIRI's 32nd Annual Investor Relations Conference in Halifax, so after a few years of virtual events due to the pandemic, he’s very happy to complete the circle with another in-person CIRI event!
