Martin Ferguson

Director, Canadian Equities

Martin Ferguson is a Director and Portfolio Manager at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 1996. He is the Manager of the New Canada Fund and is a member of the management team for the Canadian Equity Fund and the Canadian Equity Institutional Pooled Fund.

The New Canada Fund earned the Analysts' Choice Award as the best Small Cap Canadian Equity fund in Canada in December 2002 and again in 2003.

Mr. Ferguson is a member of the CFA Institute and the Calgary CFA Society. He was formerly a member of the Edmonton Society of Financial Analysts.

Fred Pynn

Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Mr. Pynn, lead manager of the Bissett Canadian Equity Fund, has been with Bissett since 1987. He holds many other positions within Bissett including Vice President of Equities, and member of the Investment Committee. Fred Pynn graduated from the University of Calgary in 1981 (B.Comm), earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1985 and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1989.

Josef Schachter

The principal of Schachter Asset Management Inc., Josef Schachter, CFA, CMA, has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas investment management. From 1991 to 1996, Mr. Schachter was with Richardson Greenshields where he was a Director and Chief Market Strategist and a member of its Investment Policy Committee. Josef is a regular commentator on ROB TV and CBC Newsworld's Business News.
