President's Message

Who is CIRI Alberta and if you arent a member already, why should you consider joining?

Who are we? We are you. We are a volunteer group of your peers, from an assortment of industries and backgrounds, that all share a desire to enhance the recognition of the Investor Relations (IR) role as a critical element in the long-term success of any publicly held enterprise.

Why join CIRI Alberta? Our goal is to provide you with innovative, dynamic and often entertaining opportunities to improve your skill set and knowledge base as an IR practitioner, thereby increasing IRs value to your employer and to the investment community. We believe your active participation in CIRI will expose you to a refreshingly supportive network of professionals. No matter where we are employed, we all face many common challenges and are ever willing to share in their solutions.

This year CIRI Alberta will hold its fifth annual awards Gala September 25. This event not only recognizes the excellent work of the award recipients, but also serves to raise the profile of IR in the investing community. Through our silent auction proceeds, we are also able to share our good fortune with the greater community.

We work hard, we have fun and we encourage you to join us. CIRI Alberta chapter members also enjoy reduced fees to our luncheons, seminars and workshops as well as being included in various social events.
