Marguerite Manshreck-Head

| Marguerite Manshreck-Head operates her own consulting company, MMH Investor Relations Inc., providing strategic and tactical counsel to small cap resource companies. Since 2003, she has worked for base metal, gold, coal, diamonds, iron ore and oil and gas issuers. Building from a strategic plan, Ms. Manshreck-Head has effectively designed and executed investor relations programs, investor products, presentations, site tours, special events and marketing. In the past eight years, Ms. Manshreck-Head has worked for more than 25 companies around the world – explorers, developers and miners listed on the TSX, AIM, Botswana, Stockholm and Norwegian stock exchanges – operating in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Prior to founding MMH, Ms. Manshreck-Head was Director, Investor Relations at Falconbridge Limited, where she was responsible for the company's investor relations strategy. She previously held the roles of Director, Cobalt Marketing & Sales and Director, Market Research. Ms. Manshreck-Head has also been a Computer Programmer at Burns Fry Limited, and a consultant to the United Nations Economic and Social Conference on Asia and the Pacific (Bangkok, Thailand) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Geneva, Switzerland). Ms. Manshreck-Head holds an Honours BA in Economics from Concordia University (Montreal, Québec) and a Masters (Diplôme) from the Graduate Institute of International Studies (Geneva, Switzerland). She has been a member of the Canadian Institute of Investor Relations (CIRI), Ontario Chapter, since 1977 and served on the Board of Directors from 2000 to 2006 in many roles including President. |
In 1990, NIRI Canada was established as an advisory and support organization for the Canadian chapters of U.S. based NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute). In 1992, NIRI Canada was renamed the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, which is committed to furthering the recognition and development of investor relations in Canada. CIRI is autonomous from but maintains a close working relationship with NIRI.
CIRI is led by an elected Board of Directors of senior IR practitioners, supported by a staff of experienced professionals. The senior staff person, the President and CEO, serves as a continuing member of the Board. With the exception of the President and CEO, all Board members serve without compensation for two-year terms.
A number of committees, composed of volunteer members, report directly to the Board. These committees include, but are not limited to: Nominating; Audit; Membership; Issues; Newsline Editorial Board; Resource and Education; Accreditation.
CIRI Chapters are located in Toronto, Ontario (founded 1979), Montreal, Quebec (1991), Calgary, Alberta (1987) and Vancouver, British Columbia (2001). CIRI members based in these regions are strongly urged to join their local chapter.
