CIRI/Ivey Investor Relations Certification Program
Recognizing that there is a need for formal education in the field of investor relations, CIRI has worked with the Richard Ivey School of Business (Ivey) to develop a program that covers all relevant areas of this multi-disciplinary role including capital markets, corporate governance, securities law, finance and communications. This initiative supports CIRI's mandate of contributing to the transparency and integrity of the Canadian capital market by advancing the practice of investor relations, the professional competency of its members, and the stature of the profession.
The 10-month program will be delivered through four modules.
Module 1:
- 1 day supplemental accounting and finance basics workshop
- 3 days face-to-face in Toronto in September
Module 2 & 3:
- 12 online classes spanning October to May
Module 4:
- 2 days face-to-face at CIRI's Annual Conference (see annual conference section of the website for more details)
The cost to complete the program is $8,950 for CIRI members and $9,450 for non-members. This fee can be paid at one time or in four installments.
